On September 11th, Insole Court came alive with music, colour and community as more than 300 people joined the first Recovery Festival Wales. Rain couldn’t dampen the joy. Choirs and bands had people clapping along, workshops sparked creativity, recovery tasters opened new doors, and stalls brimmed with energy and conversation.
The festival showed that recovery shines brightest when we come together. Families, friends, volunteers and organisations all played a part in making recovery visible and celebrated. It was a real step towards Cardiff and the Vale growing as an inclusive recovery region, a place where stigma is challenged and recovery is part of everyday life.
